Later, Libby worked for a public relations firm called Burson-Marsteller. At the time of the breakout of the Watergate, she helped the channel in producing the hearings’ night time broadcast. Later, Libby moved to Washington for working with Jim Lehrer and Robin MacNeil at N-PACT, which is a branch of PBS that looks after the production of public affairs. She joined the NBC News as an assistant editor in New York. Prior to the beginning of her writing career, author Libby used to work in news broadcasting. This organization has more than 3,400 members and is dedicated towards strengthening female mystery writers’ voices. During 2005-2006, she served as Sisters in Crime’s national president. Author Libby is believed to be committed to her writing work quite exceptionally. Several other critics believe that Libby’s richly varied and thrilling crime books were definitely going to win numerous prestigious awards, and no one questioned their success when they actually won the awards. The critics have described her work as meticulously researched and masterful. Her latest work, ‘War, Spies and Bobby Sox’, has won the Ippy Silver Award in the military/war category.
Libby even edited a famous anthology of crime fiction known as Chicago Blues. The crime fiction career of Libby is comprised of 14 novels and more than 20 short stories.
